Only a delivery to the kerbside can be guaranteed and you are responsible for moving the goods from the kerbside. Our agents will do our best to deliver closer to the property or requested delivery point if access allows.

What is a suitable delivery point?

Access to the delivery point must be on hard road over which a vehicle can pass without sustaining or causing damage of any kind. It is your responsibility to let us know if there are any access difficulties, such as low bridges, narrow single lanes, weight limit roads.

Delivery on a restricted parking zone

The delivery vehicle must be able to park in the area that the delivery is to be made. In some areas of the UK, to obtain a permit from your local council to have bulk items left on the kerbside.

If Your Delivery Is By Tail Lift

Loose Load Delivery

Deliveries are on a tail lift lorry and lowered to the ground. A manual pallet truck is then used to manoeuvre the pallet into position.

  • Check that your access is suitable. This does not just mean your drive but the road approaching your property.
  • Ensure we are aware of any access difficulties, such as low bridges, narrow single lanes
  • Is the allocated delivery point for the goods on a flat level surface, free of gravel and uneven paving?
  • Are there any low hanging branches or cables that could obstruct the high sides of the vehicle.
  • It is always best that somebody is available to sign for the goods
  • Have you provided the correct delivery address?

CAUTION RETURNED PALLETS: Returned goods if cancelled whilst on route or returned due to ground/access conditions being unsuitable for pallet deliveries, will incur a return delivery charge. We will make arrangements to collect or return the goods at the cost of the return charge only. Alternatively you can make your own arrangements to have the goods returned to us within 21 days. Where a delivery cannot be made on the arranged day due to access or unforeseen circumstances we will attempt a redelivery at your request on the following day or when arranged. There will be a redelivery charge and this will vary depending on the delivering depot. We will advise you of this cost prior to redelivery. If you have any queries concerning this or any other issue please call us immediately
